My fascination with colour, line, strong geometric shapes and interesting urban architecture has influenced much of my recent work. I work directly with Photoshop and Illustrator, building layers of images and textures to produce the final piece. These layers can consist of manipulated text, scanned images and textures I have produced to compliment the geometric structure. These textures are produced using a variety of materials and methods including wax and watercolour resists.

Some of my work is in relief. I hand cut, layer, and sometimes fold to reveal parts of the image on the under layers. This I find particularly rewarding as it allows the image to change when viewed from different angles.

Although much of my work is abstract, I also work with photographs I have taken of some of my favourite landscapes in areas including the North Yorkshire coast, Cornwall, Dorset and the Lake District. These give me a range of images, textures, colours and marks to work with. I collage various elements of these photographs digitally to produce imaginary landscapes.

My prints are produced with an Epson inkjet printer, using a combination of Epson UltraChrome inks and high quality Innova and Epson archival papers.
