I have always enjoyed art in one form or another – sketching, watercolour, collage and
most recently, lino printing! I have found that this technique goes well with my style,
which is quite stylised and focussed on form and flowing lines. I also find a huge
amount of enjoyment in the stages of the process – there is a lot going on and the variety
of techniques that can be used interest me a great deal.
I love walking and being in my garden, a lot of my work is influenced by what I see there
and how it makes me feel. I am also influenced by Northern European folk art and
vintage wallpaper prints, particularly the use of symmetry, pattern and colour.
