Committee
We currently have no treasurer for the group as Cath Hartnett stepped down earlier this year, and Rosemary Watson is stepping down as exhibitions organiser after the Workstation exhibition and fair. We thank them both very much for all their hard work for the group. We also need people to take on a publicity role to help with planned events. Please contact Peter York if you are interested or can help in any way with these roles.

Other items
We have had badges printed with the SP logo, which are free for members- please collect from the Workstation event if you haven’t already got one. Sally Brooks has designed the new logo for the group, with input from the committee. The group has also paid for Public Liability Insurance through SAA to cover participating members at group events for a period of a year.
We had a members’ picnic in the summer at Pete’s house, where we discussed topics such improving publicity, e.g. buying an A board/banner for advertising events, ‘adopting a venue’, whereby each member is responsible for dropping leaflets or a poster at a location near their home/work and an article in the Sheffield Telegraph about the group.
The group have been fortunate to be able to borrow an ‘A board’ in time for the Workstation event and for future events, to improve publicity.
There is to be a Christmas social event, with a short meeting beforehand about the future direction of the group – details will be e mailed as soon as possible.
